I blame Drayton. He's so cheap when it comes to signing draft picks that the first thing the scouts look at is signability, not talent. When is he going to realize that the Astros are never going to be an annual contender until we start developing our own talent? Hasn't he seen enough mediocrity in 15 years to understand that free agents aren't going to get it done?
Exactly. As Evan and I oft discuss, for someone who is obviously a very good business man, he's absolutley terrible at owning a baseball team. Look for a long more coherent rant this week.
