Avoiding a Rant

So the Spurs games could be broadcasted TWICE on basic cable, Evan and I couldn't watch the game on FSN. I went to a sports bar and caught the Rockets game (also not available on basic cable), but so douche bag Spurs fans could watch the game no matter what angle their heads were at, they refused to put 'Stros game on (the Rockets got one TV...out about 25).

Keeping with my "Glass Half Full" mentality, we have this to hang our hats on. We're guranteed to go .500 on this road trip, which is quite a feat for the Astros. And how 'bout them Rockets?!?!

That's all have, school is schlacking me. Maybe you can talk amongst yourself here are the topics:

1) Should Coop have pulled Cassel in the 5th, thereby robbing him of Major League W??

2) Most hated team if you're a Houston Fan: Jazz, Spurs, Cardinals, Braves, or the Mavs?

I may be in the same boat...but they've been such chokers the past few (twelve)years, it's not as easy to hate them. The Jazz are quickly catching up. I wish Jerry Sloan nothing but the worst in his professional life.

I started to say the Cardinals, but I realized I actually hate only Tony LaRussa and Pujols.

What the hell was Cooper thinking pulling Wright and putting in Borkowski to face a PITCHER?! First pitch to Owings and BAM! home run to right. Borkowski promptly follows that up with a double to Young and an RBI single to Byrnes. And this is all with 2 outs! Hasn't Wright done enough to prove he can handle pitching to a pitcher? What the hell was Cooper smoking when he made that decision?

Clint,

I don't think I can answer that question. Cecil Cooper has quickly gained my utmost ire this first month of the season. Wright is one of the the few bright spots on this team and for Coop not to trust him in that situation defies logic. Today's game was a game we should have won, but through a combination of factors, not the least of which was shoddy management, we dropped it. At least we can hang our hats on the fact that we went 4-4 on this road trip. Hopefully we can put together a solid May given a softer schedule and more home games.

Honestly to answer your question, I am a bigger basketball fan than football fan and I absolutely loathe Jerry Sloan, his system and the Jazz. I get quite a bit of satisfaction knowing that Karl Malone has never won a championship because he is just the worst person ever.
